Yeah, B and A seem like the right combo. You first have to go into the Roles section in vSphere Client (B) and then pick which privileges you want to include (A). Cloning roles from SDDC Manager (E) doesn’t sound right since custom roles are handled directly in vCenter. Also, assigning permissions before setting privileges (D) is backwards—it’s the other way around. So, B and A are the only logical steps to create a new role here.

D imo, you can’t assign permissions before setting privileges, so D is out. B for accessing Roles and A for picking privileges are the only logical steps to create the role.

Agree that B is where you begin. Another angle: E looks unrelated because cloning roles is normally done inside vCenter, not SDDC Manager. So, A plus B seems the only legit combo here.

A, B - gotta pick privileges first and roles section is where it happens.

Maybe B and A. You gotta start in the Roles section to create the role, then pick the exact privileges you want. Applying permissions comes after, so D is out.

Not D, you assign permissions after creating and defining the role. Also, E seems off since cloning roles in SDDC Manager isn’t how vCenter custom roles usually get made. B and A fit best here.

Option B is a must since you have to go to the Roles section to start creating or modifying any roles in vCenter. Option A makes sense too because custom roles are all about picking specific privileges tailored to what users need. I’m skeptical about option E though, since cloning roles in SDDC Manager might not be how it works for vCenter custom roles exactly. Options C and D seem off-permissions get assigned after the role is created, and applying a new role directly at root isn’t always necessary or best practice right away. Overall, B and A look like the safe picks here.
