Free Microsoft Azure AZ-700 Actual Exam Questions - Question 13 Discussion
HOTSPOT You have an on-premises network that includes the sites shown in the following table.
Each site is connected to the Internet by a firewall. All sites are connected to an SD-WAN. Each site is configured to propagate routes by using BGP. You have an Azure subscription that includes a virtual network named Vnet1 that contains a Virtual Network Gateway named Gateway 1. You create a local network gateway with the configuration shown in the gateway exhibit (Click the Gateway tab.)
You create a Site-to-Site (S2S) connection with the configuration shown in connection exhibit. (Click the Connection tab)
For each of the following statements, select Yes if the statement is true Otherwise, select No. NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.
Option A looks off because the BGP peer IP in the connection doesn’t match what's set in the local network gateway. That usually stops BGP from forming properly.
Also thinking option B should be No since for BGP to work, both sides need to agree on the ASN, and here they are different. That mismatch usually breaks BGP route propagation.
I’d say No for option A too, since the BGP peer IP in the connection doesn’t line up with the local network gateway IP. That mismatch usually blocks BGP peering.
No, because the BGP peer IP in Azure doesn’t match the on-premises IP exactly.
Option C seems wrong because the peer IP in Azure should match the on-premises BGP IP exactly.
Option B seems off since the Azure ASN and on-prem ASN differ, breaking BGP peer setup.
I thought the same about the BGP settings since both the local network gateway and connection show BGP info correctly. What stood out to me is that the on-premises ASN and Azure ASN have different values, which matches the typical BGP setup for route propagation. So, statements about BGP being enabled and routes propagating seem right. But for the last one about the VPN status, since the connection status isn't shown as connected, it makes sense to answer No there. That was my main reason for choosing No on the last statement.
Yes for all except the last one; BGP should be enabled.
