C imo, since no lights usually mean the port isn’t active at all. If the switch had failed, other ports would likely be affected too. Gateway or VLAN issues wouldn’t cause lights to stay off.

A/C? I see why C makes sense since no blinking lights usually mean no connection at the port level. But I’m also considering A because if the switch or that specific port hardware failed, it could cause the same symptoms. However, A seems less likely since the problem is isolated to one user, not the whole switch. Definitely rules out B and D because they wouldn’t affect the physical link lights. So, C seems the most specific fit here.

I'm leaning towards C. If the port was shut down, the lights wouldn't blink even if the cable is connected. The switch failing would probably affect more than one port, and wrong gateway or VLAN usually don't turn off the indicator lights. Anyone else agree?
