B. The default gateway is key for routing traffic out to the internet since it tells the firewall where to send packets that aren’t local. D makes sense because the firewall has to have its own IP address from the assigned static range to communicate properly. Other options like DNS or NTP servers aren’t strictly needed just to get internet access, so they can be ruled out for this question.

Option B and D. The firewall needs a default gateway to know where to send outbound traffic and a static IP from the ISP’s range to be reachable on the internet. DNS or NTP servers aren’t essential for basic connectivity.

D imo, for the firewall to route traffic properly, it has to have one of those static IPs assigned so it can be recognized on the ISP’s network. B also makes sense because without a default gateway, the firewall wouldn’t know where to send traffic destined for outside networks. Options like C don’t quite fit since the modem’s IP isn’t necessarily relevant for firewall config, and A or F seem unrelated here. DNS servers might be important for name resolution but aren’t strictly required for basic Internet access through the firewall itself.

B and D, firewall needs a default gateway and a static IP to connect properly.

Yeah, B and E make the most sense here. The firewall definitely needs a default gateway to send traffic outside the local network, and DNS servers are essential for translating domain names. Options like A and F don’t really fit since those services aren’t typically required on the firewall itself just to access the internet. C and D seem off because the firewall should have one of the static IPs assigned directly, not just use the modem’s IP. So, B and E feel like the cleanest picks.

I’m thinking B and E. The firewall needs a default gateway to route traffic out and DNS servers to resolve domain names. Not sure if the modem's IP or a static IP is necessary on the firewall itself here. Anyone else?
