Eliminate B and D since Implement and Closed usually aren't stale from Authorize.

A/C? Implement usually feels like a forward move, so B seems off. D’s transitions mostly feel like final or end states, not really stale in the middle of a process. A and C both have transitions that might represent going back or restarting steps, which fits the idea of stale transitions better. Between those two, C includes canceled and new, which feel more like starting over or stopping, classic stale moves. A’s options seem more like lateral moves rather than truly stale. So C might be the better fit here.

A/D? I agree that stale transitions usually mean stepping back or sideways, not forward like Implement. D’s transitions to Scheduled and Closed feel more like end states, which might be considered stale if you’re supposed to authorize first. A’s options include going back to Draft or over to Assess or Review, which also fits the idea of revisiting earlier stages. B and C seem less likely since Implement is a clear forward move and C’s options are mostly new or canceled states, which don’t really align with stale transitions from Authorize. So A or D might be the better picks here.

I’m thinking it’s not C or D because those transitions seem like end states or completely unrelated stages for Authorize. Usually, from Authorize you’d expect to go back to earlier checks or adjustments, not straight to scheduling or closing. Since B has that typo and includes Implement, which feels more like a later stage, A looks like the more logical set of transitions. Anyone see a reason why Implement would be allowed directly from Authorize?

A. Besides the typo in B, the transitions in A make more sense since the Authorize state typically moves back to earlier review or assessment stages, not directly to implementation or scheduling like in B, C, or D. The options in C and D seem more like final or forward states rather than stale transitions, which are usually about revisiting or holding stages.

A looks better, B has a typo with *o Review.
