A, because SSL is outdated and RadSec explicitly uses TLS over TCP for security.

A/B? I’m sure UDP is out since RadSec’s main point is reliability via TCP. The difference between TLS and SSL here is tricky because SSL is the older term, but RadSec specs specifically mention TLS, not SSL. So A seems better than B just because of the protocol naming. Also, TLS has replaced SSL in practically every modern secure setup, so they probably want the up-to-date term.

D imo, RadSec is specifically about using TCP to make RADIUS more reliable, so anything mentioning UDP (like C and D) doesn’t really apply. Also, SSL is outdated and replaced by TLS in most security protocols nowadays, so B is less likely than A. The key part is TCP plus TLS, which fits exactly with option A.

It’s A—RadSec is definitely about TCP plus TLS, not SSL or UDP.

Probably A. RadSec is known for switching from UDP to TCP and securing it with TLS, not SSL. That’s why B and the UDP options don’t really fit.

A Since RadSec is designed to improve RADIUS security by using TCP for reliability and TLS for encryption, it wouldn’t make sense to use UDP or SSL here. SSL is pretty much deprecated, so the focus is definitely on TLS. The reliable transport is a key feature that distinguishes RadSec from traditional RADIUS over UDP.

Option A, since RadSec specifically replaces UDP with TCP and uses TLS for security.

Maybe D is out since RadSec doesn’t use UDP at all. Between A and B, I’m pretty sure RadSec officially uses TLS, not SSL, because SSL is outdated and less secure. TCP makes sense because RadSec needs reliable transport, which UDP can’t provide. So that leaves A as the best fit given what I know about RadSec protocols.
